An aerial view of the remnants of Ripley's Believe it or not museum as firefighters battle a blaze that destroyed the Gatlinburg landmark on July 14, 1992. I was sent up from Atlanta to cover this fire for my newspaper. While there I noticed the TV stations were using helicopters to get aerials of the blaze, I did not have access to a helicopter so I looked around. Right across the street was a ski lift, I bought a ticket rode up and immediately back down and made photos on the way down.
